m2m-x can realize authentication of terminals, filtering (security), and parameter exchange (such as exchange of cryptographic keys and port numbers for FW control) necessary for End-to-End communication through a unified signaling control on the side of the server. At the same time, m2m-x conducts name resolution, too. As a result, encrypted secure End-to-End communication is available without difficult settings to each connection terminal, simply by designating SIP-URI for all registered UAs just like telephone numbers.

Data channel can be used directly between terminal devices without going through the m2m-x server, resulting in a substantial reduction of server-relay cost.

The unified control of signaling has the possibility of providing further NW additional functions (such as transfer of messages and receiving message recording).

m2m-x is a platform where various protocols including rtp and http can be used for End-to-End communication and various applications can be used. m2m-x is expected to contribute to new market creation and the expansion and enhancement of convenience for not only home information appliances, but also real-time two-way communication.

m2m-x can be used for various purposes in the home and in companies.
